THE MISSION of The Encounter LIFE Church (TELC) is to be a bridge that draws everyone we encounter from merely existing toward a LIFE that honors God and involves Him in every area of living.  Recorded in John 10:10b is Christ’s declaration that He is come that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. TELC is committed to proclaiming the truth that is God’s Word and cultivating a community that perpetuates this same burden through LOVE, INSPIRATION, FELLOWSHIP, and EMPOWERMENT.

LOVE

 

“A new commandment I give you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”  John 13:34-35

 

INSPIRATION

 

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

 

FELLOWSHIP

 

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25

 

EMPOWERMENT

 

“Look, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and on the full force of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names stand written in Heaven.” Luke 10:19-20
